Save Our Public Schools Town Hall

Join Us to Address the Public School Crisis with Greens Senator Penny Allman-Payne

Why are public schools in crisis, and what can we do about it?

Australia's school system increasingly favors the wealthy while disadvantaging the less well-off, thanks to policies from both Labor and the Coalition.

  • Governments short-change public schools by $6.5 billion annually.
  • Since the Gonski review, funding for private schools has increased at double the rate of public schools.
  • Queensland public school teachers are facing a crisis in their profession with staff shortages and excessive workloads increasing since 2019.

To save our public school system, the Greens are advocating for full funding for every public school by January 2025.
